The 2020 Privacy Technology Demonstration will be a first-of-its-kind event to examine the performance of technologies intended to protect the privacy of individuals by obfuscating or encrypting faces in videos. DHS S&T seeks full or partial systems capable of collecting and processing live and/or stored video footage, such that the faces of any recorded individuals are obfuscated and cannot be identified by humans or by face recognition algorithms. Companies providing either camera systems with edge processing or software capable of processing streaming video will be considered and are encouraged to apply to participate.
